Developed by General Electric, tough Lexan polycarbonate is electrically non-conductive, will not distort at temperatures below 275 degrees F and has a self extinguishing rating for flamability. Toothed faces of paired units mesh to form rigid joints at any 10-degree increment. These clamps feature the "Snap-On" design which allows attachment to 1/2-inch rods or tubes already in place without disassembly of the structure. Their all-around grip never burrs, scores or distorts rods. They come with nickel plated steel 1/4--20 x 1 1/2" slotted filister head screws and 1/4--20 nuts, sufficient for each application. They can be assembled or disassembled easily with a flat blade screwdriver or even a small coin. Each set consists of two clamps (4 pieces) plus a nut and bolt.
WARNING: We have a limited quantity of this product. Lexan is tough, but not as strong as the steel nut and screw that attaches the connectors together. Over-tightening can cause the attaching lip around the rod to break, resulting in failure of the clamp assembly. Be careful when tightening. A snug fit avoiding slippage is sufficient.

The set comes with a 3/8--16 x 2 3/4" socket head cap screw and 3/8--16 hex nut in nickel plated steel and in sufficient numbers for the intended application.
